COMMANDER AT THE LOS ANGELES LATINO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Washington D.C., October 20, 2005 Interep Global Marketing (IGM) announces the launch of the all-new seven passenger 2006 Jeep® Commander at the 9th Annual Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) from October 21st through October 30th. The campaign is expected to reach over 30,000 attendees, millions of listeners through SBS (Spanish Broadcasting System) radio stations, and over 1.2 million Los Angeles area Metro bus riders (per day) from October 17th through October 30th.
Through a strategic partnership with LALIFF, IGMs goal was to reach the Hispanic market and provide exposure for Jeep® that would be unique and memorable. In addition to a 2-week radio campaign across the SBS stations in Los Angeles, the creative team at IGM devised a promotion with the Metro Bus system in Los Angeles in which Metro riders will view LALIFF commercials featuring the Jeep® Commander and the Jeep® logo to increase exposure and create excitement about the vehicle launch. As a special treat to kick-off LALIFFs festivities for attendees and invite local and national media coverage for the event, IGM has negotiated a unique launch event featuring the Aztec Sky Divers, the team of sky divers plan to jump and land on Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Egyptian Theatre at LALIFF. With the streets completely closed, the Aztec Sky Divers will drop out of the sky landing on Hollywood Blvd. onto a Jeep® branded landing pad the sky divers will then shed their parachute gear and emerge wearing Jeep® paraphernalia. The finale ends with the Aztec Sky Divers posing with and driving away in the all-new 2006 Jeep® Commander.
The growing Hispanic market is a prime audience for the 2006 Jeep® Commander. Based on the recent success in the automotive launch category and expansion into the Hispanic marketplace, IGM was contacted to secure this promotion for Jeep®. IGMs President/CEO, Derrick Hollie explains, Weve done various promotions within the community and with our recent success stories in the automotive marketplace, weve created branding opportunities that are not only effective for our client, but memorable for potential customers. During this years LALIFF celebration, Im sure that anyone who attends the sky diving launch event at LALIFF is going to remember it.
