The Black Man
By Rev. Willie E. Frink Jr.
The Black Man in this country has been historically hunted down and taken out. But to fully grasp why and truly understand this statement, one has to know that the Black Man is not being hunted just for the sake of the hunt. The attack on us is not solely selective to the Black Man. It is in fact a direct attack on the Black family.
Humanitarian, L. Ron Hubbard once said that the family is the building block of any great society. How does one tear apart the society and make communities unsafe to live in? What does one have to do to make it unviable and unpopular to love and trust a Black Man? How does one turn our strong, proud Black Brothers into hood rats and criminals who are themselves dizzy from going through the revolving door we call the Correctional System in this country?
It is known that the Black family is the strongest institution in this country and if you were to take it out you must strike down the leader of that institution. Our families have been the source of that which all great leadership, talent, love, peace, morality, discipline, education and spirituality was born. Any institution which can create such brilliance could possibly rise in power and take over this nation. With that said it is obvious why the hunt continues today.
We are the most brilliant people on this planet yet we have allowed ourselves to believe the propaganda about whom and what we really are. We have sat back and lived out all the negativity that has been communicated about us. We have watched our strong, powerful image be transformed into an image that shows us as being disrespectful to our women and not taking responsibility for our youth. If there was one thing that we would have to face and take responsibility for, this would be it: We have allowed our image to be turned from man to monster.
Where do we go from here? First, we have to recognize and understand the truth. This is just one example of the truth. Over 50% of the people in jail or prison are Black. 96% of all Black inmates are men. The prison system in this country is a private industry and anyone with money can purchase a prison or buy stock in it. How does a prison make money? It can only make money by having prisoners. Where do these prisoners come from? The answer should be obvious.
Here is a little illustration of what Im talking about. The Black family exists with a mother and father interestedly raising intelligent Black children who are able to compete in this world with other children from other races. This becomes a threat so something must be done. Lower the education and build more prisons. To be lucrative, these prisons have to be full, so criminals must be created. The educational system standards have been lowered so that will make it harder for them to compete but it cant stop there.
Also, the image of the head of the Black family must be altered to create a split. The Black Man is no good, he cant take care of his family and the Black Woman is better off without him. Besides the Black Woman can make more money than the Black Man so you, Black Woman dont need the Black Man in your life to survive. We allow these thoughts to become our thoughts and the Black Man hits the streets to prove them wrong and finds that there are no open doors for him. He must prove that he is worth something so he does whatever he can to show his Black Woman that he is still strong and proud, that he is still the head of his family. Each day another 4-5 doors are slammed in his face while the Black Woman is having 8-10 opened for her. The Black Man is finding that his role in the family is becoming extinct and he goes desperate until he finds himself in a prison cell, now a statistic.
Now that he is no longer in the family, efforts have to be made to ensure that this Black Family Institution never becomes as strong as it once was. Thinking down the road, future prisoners have to be made so lets make it hard for the Black Woman to work and raise the children. She now has to spend less time raising them and more time doing what must be done to feed, house and cloth them. The Black Child then raises himself and takes his examples of how to be from the black images he sees on TV and movies. These images are not our images but the images supplied to the Black Child to advance the hunt. Where is that leadership, talent, love, peace, morality, discipline, education, spirituality that once filled the homes of the Black Family?
If we want to take back our lives, our communities, and our image we must take back our families. We who know the difference, we who can see the truth must take responsibility for what we know and for those who do not yet know. It is very difficult to live in this world and think that you can make it if others dont so we must step forward and do what we can to turn the tide of the future of our people. There is a lot more room at the top than what we have been allowed to occupy but we are going to have to take it.
To do that, we must acquire the life skills that will aid us in building hope and reaching our dreams so that these dreams no longer have to be deferred. Im talking about acquiring the practical solutions to living the life we want to live.
Nine years ago I was exposed to something called Scientology. I had many questions about it and went into my local church to get those questions answered. I found out that Scientology means knowing how to know or the study of knowledge so in fact this thing called Scientology meant knowledge. In the Black community we have always known there are power, hope, and freedom in knowledge, so I wanted to know what it could do for me. I studied this thing called Scientology long and hard and realized this is the way the Black Man will return to power. Through the study and application of this knowledge the Black Man will be re-crowned as the head of his family.
As I was going through my journey into Scientology, I began to learn what it means to be me and that I could be proud to be a Black Man in America. I can hold my head up and become my dreams. I can love myself unselfishly. I can love the Black Woman unconditionally. I can love the Black Child respectfully. I regained my self respect and that to me was priceless.
I challenge every single Black Man reading this article to take responsibility for another Black Man somewhere as we have to reach out to one another in order to make a difference. Wisdom is only as good as one shares it with someone else so I challenge you to take a look into this Scientology stuff. I am so sure of it that Im bringing Scientology to Black men, women and children in Harlem.
Our future has very little to do with destiny because we are the creators of our future. The difference in whether we will live in modern day slavery or at the height of our hopes and dreams depend on getting the knowledge to make that difference.
Founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard wrote an article called A Message for Black People in 1961 where he said this about Scientology, If Black People, even on a part time basis, studied it and used it upon other black people, if black centers were to be set up in America for Black People, the standard of ability, social activity and intelligence would be increased far beyond any future possible loss.
Look into Scientology and use it to help your own people. Let them truly walk in the sun and take their place amongst the most brilliant people of Earth.
Lets stop asking for our place at the table, there is a seat already for you. Sit and be fed.
